I found her book to be historically refreshing and educational, rather than eye-rolling and inaccurate, which I have encountered in other "time-travelish" books. Avoiding sugar and food additives has helped immensely. After they secure a cache of Digoxin for Mack's heart condition, they set off again trying to find safe ground. I do not want to write any spoilers, so I will say that I thought this was a satisfying ending to the original and intriguing series.
